Our Founder
Aman Sohal, a graduate from Chandigarh College of Architecture has worked as an architectural assistant to Architect Balkrishna Doshi and Artist Jatin Das in Ahmedabad for his project JDCA (Jatin Das Centre for Arts, Bhubaneswar) for a year (2010-2011).Post that he worked with CnT Architects, Bangalore where he was largely involved in housing and institutional projects including IIM –Trichy.(2010 – 2014). After that he came back to Chandigarh and worked with Architect Namita Singh before starting Forum aDvaita.
Aman has also been pursuing his passion for visual arts along with architecture. He has been practicing watercolor painting for the past 7 years. He has held exhibitions in Chandigarh and Punjab region. He was the Punjab Lalit Kala Academy award winner for the year 2017.

Philosophy
Forum is a place to exchange ideas, at Forum aDvaita, the exchange of ideas happens with an objective to follow Vivekananda’s philosophy of Advaita.
Advaita has a two state interpretations, one as an experience , the other as philosophy:

As an experience – the objective is to reach a non-dual connection with the ultimate reality, but the process or the philosophy is by going through an unreal world.

As a philosophy – it is an attempt to create a mysterious atmosphere, and a world ever changing and evolving. The unreal ,something that is known, but in a mutant form and is always trying to become something.
When we actually see an illusion, such as mistaking a rope for a snake, it takes only a little while for us to realise that it is an illusion, the water seen in a mirage does not slake our thirst.
